Community events
Our community events vary throughout the year, but our goal is always the same—to create welcoming, family-friendly experiences that bring people together through movement, mindfulness, and connection.
We proudly offer a free Community Connect class on the 4th Saturday of every month at 3:00 PM. This initiative was created by our wonderful instructor, Ashley, with the vision of providing a welcoming, judgment-free space where our community can experience the benefits of yoga regardless of financial circumstances. While Ashley leads the class most months, we also invite other Wellness Hug instructors to share their unique teaching styles, creating a variety of experiences while keeping the mission of connection, accessibility, and community at the heart of every class.
We also host Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery), an open and inclusive donation-based program that combines the practical tools of the 12-Step model with the healing practices of yoga. Designed for anyone navigating their own addictive behaviors or affected by the addictive behaviors of others, Y12SR offers a supportive environment for healing, reflection, and community. The program includes a gentle yoga practice followed by an optional sharing circle. All are welcome.
Children who are old enough to remain on their mat and participate for the duration of class are welcome to attend Community Connect alongside their parent or guardian. For younger participants or those who benefit from an age-specific environment, we also offer Flow & Grow for Kids (ages 6–12) and Teens Flow & Grow throughout the year, ensuring every age has an opportunity to experience the benefits of movement and mindfulness.
